The Bank Attack: Project Description

In 2012, M. Antonio Ennis (a.k.a. Twice Thou) formerly of The Almighty RSO and Made Men, two legendary Boston hip-hop groups, found himself in foreclosure and was fighting Bank of America with the help of City Life/Vida Urbana.

The song, The Bank Attack, is the title track for his solo album of the same name, which was released that same year. Proceeds from sales of the album go toward The Buyback Initiative/Music Group, whose aim is to help struggling families stay in their homes by repurchasing foreclosed properties from banks or investors at foreclosure auction in order to sell them back to their original owners.

The video was shot over three days in the summer of 2012 with a cast of community members in Dorchester. In the words of Ennis, the video is part PSA, part music video, and part canvassing through music.
